Test out your nerves and show off to your other half and all of your friends about how brave you are – and all for a wonderful cause
!
Mencap invites you to pop down to Brighton Marina to face your fears in support of the 1.4 million people across the UK with learning disabilities. With only 6% of those in paid employment, Mencap’s Young Ambassador’s program aims to improve their life chances by furthering their employment skills, and money raised on the day will go towards this.
Under expert guidance, 50 plucky participants will be crossing barefoot over coals reaching up to 1,234 degrees Fahrenheit!! No previous training is required, but expect a heap of goodwill, cheer and support on the day – the heat on your soles should match the warm feeling in your tummy.
Registration fee is £20 and you can sign up on the day, with a suggested sponsorship of £100.
If you’re not participating, get all of your friends together and get down to the Marina between
6 – 9pm for what’s sure to be a brilliant spectator event for a fantastic cause.
